To be, or not to be

Every generation has it's sorrows; the temptation to descend and the opportunity to rise above. "I call Heaven and Earth to witness against you today: I place before you Life and Death, Blessing and Curse. Choose life so that you and your children will live."

Pray that we still have elections this fall.

If you read this, please pray for the people of the world.

This morning I asked the Lord, "how do I warn Your people? Who will listen? What should I tell them?  What words should I say that they will listen to?"  Shortly after, I found myself crying because most people will not listen.  I'm telling you, time is running out.  In a very short time we are going to see unpleasant changes the likes of which we have not seen before.  The "storm" is going to come much faster than we think.  It will be much more severe than we think.  If you are not prepared, it will be devastating.  I realize some peoples' definition of "imminent" is different than mine, but people, this is imminent.  Maybe not in the next 6 months or even 12, but it is imminent.  It's truly not a matter of "if" but when.  This will come to pass - in your lifetime unless your life cut short.  My only prayer is that you will hang on to Jesus like never before.  Take a hold of Him and don't let go.

I'd like to shout "peace! peace!" and whatever lovely thing you would want to hear, but that is not what's coming next.  If you believe this is false, then I feel sorry for you because you won't be prepared.  Let each one's work be revealed for what it is, whether it is of God or of the flesh.  So be it.

PLEASE WAKE UP!!

People, please, please wake up!  Our works are getting ready to be burned up. I've seen it - people really are saying, "no, this will never happen.  Things are fine!" "We don't need to prepare, we have everything we need!"  I've seen it.  I say this will all humility because I will go through this, too.  My fleshly works will be burned up.

People, we don't realize just how poor we really are.  You are not rich.  Our possessions mean nothing - nothing. Your clothes mean nothing because you are walking around bare-butt naked and don't even know it.  By the time you realize you've been stripped it will be too late.

His Word is LIFE

As I was listening to the sermon today, I began thinking about how much I love God's Word, and just hearing it gives me a wonderful peace.  After listening to His Words, I feel refreshed, energized and have an over all sense of well-being.  The Scriptures tell us that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, that the Truth will set us free, that He is the Word.

While there is a whole sermon series that could be written on that alone, today let me just encourage you to find healing for your soul in God's Word. Proverbs 4:20-22  "My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh."
