Last call - Get your life in order.

This is a “last call” to get our lives “in order”. The world as we know it is getting ready to shift. I’ve posted about this elsewhere and spoke of getting our lives in order but focused on the financial aspect a little more at that time (it is still important to have finances in order – please, please don’t spend recklessly). What exactly does it mean to get our lives in order?
That’s something I’ve been asking the last few years since I first believe the Lord spoke that to me. The answer is actually very obvious.

Micah 6:8
He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God?

Jesus says something very similar in Matthew 23:23 when speaking of the “weightier matters of the law”.

In the coming months and years, the most important thing is to walk closely with God. Be able to say with integrity “it is well with my soul”. It’s a time to resolve inner conflicts and be sure of what you believe, and time to order your life towards things eternal, not temporal. Get your relationships right, with God, with family, friends, others and strengthen those relationships. Make amends. It’s not a time to be anxious or fretful, as the world will be. Focus on “whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].”

Line your thinking up with God’s Word, and not the world’s way of thinking. Listen to the Holy Spirit’s prodding and be obedient to Him. Be exactly where He wants you to be; do exactly what He wants you to do. Know that HE is your provider and be sensitive to how He will provide. Take the opportunity to truly forgive – forgive debts, all wrongs (real and/or perceived). Let go of grudges.

There are people out there telling you to buy gold. That is up to you, and you must do as the Lord directs you, but please allow me to remind you of the words of Jesus, “Do not gather and heap up and store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust and worm consume and destroy, and where thieves break through and steal. But gather and heap up and store for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust nor worm consume and destroy, and where thieves do not break through and steal.”

In Revelation 3 Jesus says, “I counsel you to purchase from ME gold refined and tested by fire, that you may be [truly] wealthy.” How do we do that? Jesus gives us the answer – “if anyone hears and listens to and heeds My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will eat with him, and he [will eat] with Me.” Dine with the Master. Stay close to Him. Meditate on His words – His words are LIFE.
